Backpacking with a Toddler...

I've been wanting to build websites for the kids for a while now, and I figured it would never get done unless I just DID it.  So here we are.

I recently decided to do one of the most terrifying things I've ever thought about doing.  I took the kids on a (short) backpacking trip.

And it was a complete success!

The teenager didn't die from lack of technology.

And the toddler didn't completely lose her mind.

We went to Colorado Bend State Park because it's along the Colorado River and there is a waterfall, something we don't see very often in Texas.

3 mile round trip hike = Troopers

We hiked down to a waterfall that was absolutely gorgeous.

Gormon Falls - Colorado Bend State Park

And then we had to hike back up and out.
Emma kicked some rock climbing butt!

We made it back to the campsite just in time to have dinner before sunset.
We weren't completely without technology... I'm not THAT crazy.

Can't wait to do it again next month!
